Eggfast Savory Waffle

I’m not the biggest fan of the texture of the (egg+cream cheese waffles) so this version gives me the chew I need to feel like I’m eating a reggo eggo! P.S. it’s best served fresh.

Eggfast Savory Waffle

This gives us serious Fogo de Chao bread vibes.
Prep Time: 2 minutes
Cook Time: 4 minutes
Total Time: 6 minutes
Course: Breakfast
Cuisine: American
Keyword: chaffle, eggfast, savory waffle, waffle
Servings: 1
Net Carbs: 2g

Ingredients

  • 1 egg
  • 3/4 cup mozzarella (shredded)
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tbsp parmesan cheese (grated)
  • cracked black pepper (to taste)

Instructions

  • Mix the egg with shredded mozzarella, tsp of baking powder, tablespoon of grated Parmesan, and cracked black pepper.
  • Fill the waffle maker starting from the middle and leave a gap as you get close to the edge of the iron. The “batter” will expand as it cooks, be careful not to over fill as it will spill out! Let it cook for at least 2 minutes but you’ll know it’s done when it gets crispy. If you open the iron and you see cheese strings, it’s not ready! I used a dash mini waffle iron.
  • Spread 1/2-1 tablespoon of cream cheese and sprinkle with everything but the bagel seasoning. This gives you bagel vibes for sure.

Asian Mom Eggs

If you are Asian, there’s a good chance you’ve had this style of scrambled eggs at some point or another in your life. Something about the combo of fish sauce, eggs, and scallions is unbeatable and takes you back to a time when things were simpler. If you are not Asian but enjoy courses like Egg Fu Young, or changing up your egg game, this one’s a really great recipe to try.

Air Fried Eggs

Yeah, you read that right! I haven’t boiled an egg in monnnnths because air frying them is so much easier. This is based on my Cusinart airfryer so you’ll have to test one out in yours before doing a huge batch.

Here are some notes:

  • Use eggs out of the fridge.
  • You don’t need to preheat your air fryer. Just pop the eggs in there and proceed with the process.
  • Test out one egg before you do multiple. I have a cuisinart air fryer and it only takes 15 mins to get to my optimal preference (a little jammy).
  • I haven’t done more than 6 eggs at a time, but you can definitely try once you get the hang of using yours.
  • I would recommend an ice bath – many keto baes have had much better luck peeling and better results.
  • If the egg shell seems yellow or overly cooked, it’s not a big deal, the peeled egg will look normal.

Keto-Friendly Scotch Eggs

Scotch Eggs are one of my favorite gastropub eats and they are a lot easier to make than they seem. You just need a little practice and you’ll be whippin them up like a pro in no time. I like mine with honey mustard or sugar free maple syrup depending on my mood. You can use Italian sausage or breakfast sausage – whichever floats your boat. I prefer Italian Sausage most of the time.

Keto-Friendly Scotch Eggs

This recipe is a lot easier than you may think!
Prep Time: 5 minutes
Cook Time: 10 minutes
Total Time: 15 minutes
Course: Appetizer
Cuisine: european
Keyword: eggs
Servings: 4
Net Carbs: 2g

Equipment

Ingredients

  • 4 Eggs Soft boiled, peeled
  • 1 Lb Italian sausage
  • 1 Egg Whisked
  • 3 Cups Pork crumbs Crushed
  • Oil For frying

Instructions

  • Split the package of Italian sausage into fourths.
  • Flatten each portion and wrap it around each egg until it’s completely covered in sausage and there is no seam to be found. Repeat three more times with the remaining eggs and sausage.
  • In one bowl, whisk one egg. In another bowl, add three cups of crushed pork crumbs.
  • Coat the sausage wrapped egg in an egg wash and then roll it around in the pork crumbs to coat completely. TIP: use the right hand for the egg wash and left hand for the Panko. Keep the wet and dry hands apart unless you want a hot mess in front of you. Repeat three more times.
  • In 350 degree oil, slowly drop in the Scotch eggs. Fry for 7 minutes until the sausage is fully cooked and the coating is crispy and golden.
  • Enjoy with a honey mustard, maple syrup, or creole remoulade 🤤

Keto Eggfast French Toast

If your egg fast includes sugar free sweeteners – this recipe uses a really versatile base that you can make french toast, waffles, pancakes, and crepes with while staying within eggfast guidelines. My sweetener of choice was Jordan’s Skinny Vanilla Syrup because the total carb count is still zero. You can use whatever sweetener floats your boat, but I would suggest you test a tablespoon of your batter in the microwave to adjust accordingly.

Some notes:

  1. I used these silicone cavities to portion out the batter. This recipe will fill 12 cavities so it’s perfectly portioned. This is the recommended way to cook these because my recipe is based on using these to cook the batter.
  2. If you do not want those cavities, try mini loaf pans or muffin tins.
  3. If you use a square or loaf pan to bake, just pour all of the batter in the pan and bake until the mixture is no longer liquid. Oven times will vary but 20-30 mins is pretty standard depending on your pan and oven.

  • 8 eggs
  • 8 tbsp salted butter
  • 1/4 cup cream cheese softened

  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 4-6 shakes ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp Golden Monkfruit sweetener (more to taste)

Instructions

  • Soften the butter and cream cheese in the microwave for 30 seconds.
  • Add the eggs, vanilla syrup, baking powder, and cinnamon.
  • Use a hand mixer to thoroughly mix for 2-3 minutes.
  • Fil 3/4 of the silicon cavities with the batter.
  • Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes.
  • When you’re ready to serve, pan fry each side in a medium heat non stick pan. For best results, cut the portions into bite sized pieces and then pan fry.

4 Day Eggfast + 2 Day Transition Results

4 day egg fast + 2 day transition. Total lost: 7lbs 🌟

Why I did the #eggfast : For the last month I was traveling every week but stayed on plan and actually lost weight. I hit my lowest of 192lbs in Vegas and was sooo excited!!🎉 But when I came home my body decided it wanted to be on vacation still and started to ACT A FOOL 😒

That just goes to show you that even if you’re “on plan” and your macros are on point…your body is gonna do what it wants sometimes. I was so bloated, tired, my keto mojo numbers were wack and my psoriasis was flaring up badly. I thought “F❌⁉️ it” let me just cheat and eat all the carbs since I gained weight being good anyways 🤦🏻‍♀️ but I slapped myself back into reality, and decided to do the egg fast because I wanted to break the cycle and didn’t want to revert back to old bad habits. I’m happy I lost the bloat and feeling back to normal! 🌟

Spicy Eggfast Reverse Omelette 101

A reverse omelette is an egg omelette with the cheese outside of the eggs, instead of the middle. What comes out is a crispy cheeses shell with whatever your heart desires inside with eggs. We like our reverse omelettes seasoned with chili lime salt, tapatio seasoning, and a tablespoon of guacamole salsa.

The cheese crust is the shredded Taco Bell bacon cheddar blend (use about 1/3 cup of cheese) and I poured two whisked eggs over it. The trick to a crispy cheese crust is to place the cheese on the pan before you turn on the heat. Then, let the cheese melt and once it bubbles up and becomes golden, pour the egg mixture on top and cook until the desired runniness.

Extra Crispy Fried Egg

Does anyone else like their eggs exxxxxtra crispy?? One of our favorite ways to fried eggs is to top them with furikake seasoning and sriracha. Furikake seasoning is a Japanese rice seasoning that typically consists of nori bits, sesame seeds, and a punch of flavor. Another way we love to eat extra crispy eggs is with maggi seasoning and thai chilis – that combo is fire!

The key to extra crispy eggs is to heat a non stick pan on high heat. Then pour about 2-3 tablespoons of avocado oil into the pan and immediately crack the egg. Use a spoon to ladle hot oil on the egg whites until they are full cooked, the bottom of the egg is golden brown, and the yolk is the runniness level that you like.
